Institute of Public Policy and Administration of the University of Central Asia (UCA), Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ), and International Security and Development Center (ISDC), hold the fourth annual ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan’ Conference that took place in Bishkek on 2021-4-10 · SIPRI collects and analyses data relating to women in the labour market in Kyrgyzstan. The study contains detailed findings from the field research in Kyrgyzstan and is part of a wider knowledge partnership between SIPRI and the WFP, which aims to better understand and strengthen WFP’s contribution to improving the prospects for peace. The ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan’ International Summer School on ‘Impact Evaluation Methods in Central Asia’ is being offered in 2015 to promote the capacity of researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the region to commission, conduct and interpret rigorous impact evaluations and increase their role in evidence-based policy making. The impact evaluation employs a randomized control trial (RCT) and covers 20 schools in three southern oblasts of Kyrgyzstan: Osh, Batken and Jalalabad. The ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan’ Study is a research-based multi-topic longitudinal survey of households and individuals in Kyrgyzstan. It tracks the same 3000 households and over 8000 individuals over time in all seven Kyrgyz regions (oblasts) and the two cities of Bishkek and Osh. The survey collects information at household and individual levels on ISDC, the Institute of Public Policy and Administration of the University of Central Asia (UCA), SIPRI, the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) and 3ie will offer a Summer School in Kyrgyzstan in June 2015 entitled ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan International Summer School on Impact Evaluation Methods in Central Asia ’.
